We are a brand new church, sponsored by the Miami Beach Community Church, together with the generous help of the Coral Gables Congregational Church, both of which are members of the Florida Conference of the United Church of Christ.  We meet in community with the good people of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), in Homestead, Florida.

Our churches have come together to meet the churching needs of the growing new residential area  springing up in the area surrounding the Florida's Turnpike off Exits 5 & 6 in Homestead - though you are always welcome no matter where you live!

Our organizational activities included the commissioning of our Pastor, Bob Sichta, by the Rev. Dr. Garth Thompson of our sponsoring Miami Beach Community Church, in January of 2004.  Our first services were held in Rev. & Mrs. Sichta's home in the Cutler Ridge area, overlooking the promised land of Homestead.  In August of 2004, we moved -  for Sunday services, that is - to the 11 acre campus of the Community Partnership for the Homeless, located at the end of Community Partnership Drive, in Homestead, Florida, where we still conduct early services each Sunday at 8:00 am.  In June of 2005, we formed a wonderful spiritual relationship with the good people of the First Christian Church (DOC), where we are currently conducted Sunday Services, Sunday School, Bible Study classes, and much much more, while we also consider ways to permanently combine our congregations, That They All May Be One.

Recently, we received word from the national offices of the United Church of Christ of our receipt of a Pastoral Support Grant!  We are delighted to be the receipient of this great gift, intended to allow our ministry - and our church - to grow!
